In my opinion these pamphlets should be read in chronological order. This one should be read after 'Desperate Stand', but it is somewhat concurrent with the earlier three pamphlets.
This is a very good book (i.e., a 4 on a 5 point scale) which is more than I expect when I buy a book.
This is a history of the U.S. Army during the Mexican War. It covers the advance from Vera Cruz to Mexico City.
It is well written and well illustrated with maps.

Negatives:
See 'Guns Along the Rio Grande'.… (plus d'informations)

In my opinion, these pamphlets should be read in chronological order. Read this one first.
This is a very good book (i.e., a 4 on a 5 point scale), which is more than I expect when I buy a book.
This is a history of the U.S. Army during the Mexican War, during 1846. It covers two battles, Palo Alto and Resaca de la Palma.
It is well written with good illustrations and maps.

Negatives:
The background material (strategic setting, etc.) should be handled the same in all of these pamphlets. The separate pages in the Buena Vista pamphlet seem to be the best, but are still somewhat lacking.
This pamphlet lacks data on the organization of the forces (artillery, etc.).
