I do not enjoy books about men trying to justify their own bad behavior. This is one of those books. I didn't hate it as much as Gilead or The Sense of an Ending--maybe because this guy is younger and maybe questions his actions--but ugh.

The parts about his sister are interesting. Also, stream of consciousness writing. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. That all said, there is an off chance I would recommend this to someone. No one in particular ATM, but possibly.
