Set against the background of Hurricane Irma, this mystery is intricately detailed with the loss of power, the aftermath of a disaster, and the difficulties in finding help when help is in short supply. Tawny and Tillman go to visit a man who is more of a father to Tillman than his biological dad, a man who goes missing in the middle of the hurricane. Not sure if he's alive or dead, they get drawn into intrigue, leaving you to wonder who is trying to help and who is out to get them. Well done.
#4 in the Tawny/Tillman series. 1st one I've read. Interesting premise of having a wilderness gal put into the tropics during a hurricane with her boss/fiance. Tillman's friend Smoky disappears during the hurricane & Till & Tawny go in search for him and why he disappeared. A little help from the neighbor & her dog. I didn't really connect with the characters. I thought Tillman was a bully & an ass & pushed Tawny around in the name of love. Tawny seems weak willed & a little wishy washy with decision making… (plus d'informations)
