The strengths: the multiple sections of photos, the sections talking about the actual music-making and other bands on the scene, and of course the perspective afforded by being the actual drummer.
The weaknesses: the writing style, which could have done with some polishing to make it a bit less basic, and the extensive discussion of the author's childhood. Some of the discussion did relate to The Jam, because they grew up in the same community, but when one is reading this autobiography primarily to learn about The Jam, the childhood parts at the beginning can lead to impatience.
