October Snow par Jenna Brooks
Three women who work at a restaurant together, in present day middle America, tighten their friendship bonds after making big steps to change their personal lives. It was nice to read a drama with good story, realistic characters and a little bit of poignancy here and there.
The villians in the book vie for the worst position and are particularly compelling. Especially the character of Jack, who takes on an obsessive, violent role over one of the three ladies in the book, Sam.

Overall, this book has a fluid pace, due to lots of dialog, so it covers a lot of ground, plotwise.… (plus d'informations)

This was a great book that picked up soon after the end of October Snow (the first book in the series)
Another great book to go on your to read list.

I cried, I laughed, I simply couldn't put it down. I cancelled what was on the schedule for yesterday afternoon to finish it.
This is quite simply, a book I wish I'd written. Ms. Brooks takes a difficult contemporary subject matter and weaves a story so engrossing that one never has the feeling they're learning about a social issue. That is no small feat.
The characters are beautifully drawn and very believable. They're real people. The author's ear for speech and eye for setting are spot on. The story of the friendship of the three women, Jo, Maxine, and Samantha is at the core of the book, but what happens to these women is what keep you turning page after page. When it's over, you wish there were 100 more pages. It's that good.
Recommend it, you better believe it! You are in for one of the best reads you'll ever have. Kudos Ms. Brooks. Your fans are definitely going to want another book from you!
