The preacher was Jeremiah Taylor Cherry, called "Papa" by his family. Story told by his youngest child in the large family. She says the 10 active children produced a poverty of money but a wealth of spirit
The Preacher had 10 Kids, is the story of a family from the midwest and their adventures with a methodist pastor father; as told by the youngest child. While it was sometimes very funny and oh so sweet, it also gave insight into how mean Christians can be to each other. We are are own worst enemies. It takes place in the late 1800's and ends in the 1920's. She gives quite a nice view of the times. I really hated the ending....however you can't paint the truth differently for the sake of a happy story.… (plus d'informations)
