Chris Billett

Strong debut thriller that puts us in a killer's mindset.

This is a strong debut novel for a new author. Billett creates layered characters with relatable problems. Sam and Ellen are not a perfect couple. But they're trying. It's hard to dislike them, even though they've made mistakes because they are good people. I also like the fact that the traffic expert Claire is the one to follow through with an investigation. But the attention that Billett gives to put us into the killer's mindset is an interesting take on this story as well.

The writing here is crisp, fast paced, and the plot well thought out. Extremely well written with exception to a few nagging grammar errors that a good editor should have caught. But the story itself is a solid thriller in the vein of Adrian McGinty's The Chain.… (plus d'informations)
