Book review by Austin W., posted by CA Library:

"The Bus by Jerome Bettis is a very good book. The book is an autobiography, It feels more personal like he is talking to you. He tells his life story to you and all the hardships he had to overcome.

The book starts with Jerome Bettis’ childhood in a decent Detroit neighborhood. Were he had some tough situations to get through. He also shows us how he grew up as a kid that didn’t even like the sport of football he was a bowler. He didn’t play football until high school.

Once he got out of high school he was recruited by a major college where he played football and did not even think he was going to make a career out of it. Once he got into the NFL and was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams were he had a good start to his career. Then he ended up on the Pittsburgh Steelers where he had a Hall of Fame career.

I really enjoyed this book. Yes I am a huge Steelers fan but this is not a biased report. This book was one of my favorite books I have read. It is not hard to read and His life story is so interesting it will keep you flipping the pages. The ending was great. I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars."
