And this started out so well...
I loved the premise, and while a little clunky, I enjoyed the initial introduction of the world and the cast.
At around 90% this book shows its true face and deteriorates into a chaotic mess.

I am too tired to write even a rant about all the stuff that is abysmally bad at the end there.
It's a bit like a bad superhero comic threaded through with stuff that is supposed to be serious but unintentionally approaches slapstick levels of Oggy and the Cockroaches.

Just don't. It seems fine at first, but just no.

Delightful and refreshing

One surprise after another. Maxine (but PLEASE call her Max!!!) thinks her biggest issue is moving away to college in a few weeks. Little does she does she know her entire universe is about this turn on its head. At graduation she sees her massive JERK of an ex boyfriend in the line ahead....all Max can think of is how badly he treated her....out of nowhere his robes suddenly catch aflame. The headmaster blamed him smoking, yet Max knows without a doubt he'd NEVER go near cigarettes after losing a close family member to them...she starts to wonder if it could be her somehow who caused this to happen. Could she possibly be the cause for all these oddities that keep happening?? No need to wait any longer as upon arriving home and sharing what happened, her parents feel the need to sit her down (cue the music). I guess there's no easy way for the "Surprise!! You're a witch!!" talk?? Her parents explain a few major things (for which you need to read the book....come on. now I'm NOT going to tell you everything tsk tsk tsk) and then she must decide SOON to proceed with attending Brown with her crazy BFF Callie, or attend the Witch College. I love this girl....and I get the impression she's a firecracker awaiting the flame to set her free. Something within makes me feel she may be very special indeed....HOWEVER with light comes dark .....there are many who are far from being fans of this new student in their midst. Will she rise to the occasion? Can she make her own little tribe family to count on? Can she start learning the basics and call within her power? I for one am super excited to see what happens next in this supernatural series....and be forewarned it does end with a kind of cliff hanger....it's not tied up neatly with a bow by any means. I'm enjoying the characters, the world building, the rules within this community, and the excitement within. learning family secrets and possibly getting to know her maternal grandparents for the first time in her life. Will she thrive or fall? I greatly look forward to finding out. Here's hoping book 2 comes out soon.

We have more mysteries to solve. The characters are entertaining and funny. We get to see more of Jane’s three angels. The angels now know how to become corporal with Jane’s help. Lucifer, Gabriel, and Michael take turns being with Jane. We also have a visit from a mysterious angel at the end, definitely intrigued. Hopefully we learn more about this angel in the third I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Trio of Hot Angels: Jane can see angels. There are three angels that constantly visit her. There is Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. The main issue they have is that they cannot touch her. Jane gets asked to help solve a mystery and the angels agree to help her. Their payment is a kiss. There are a few hot scenes. The story did start out a little slow but it did pick up. I’m interested in reading the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jane has her three gorgeous angels Lucifer, Gabriel, and Michael. Something is going on in Heaven and Uriel is not happy. We also have visits from Azrael and Rafael who are intrigued with Jane. They want to know how she is able to keep three angels interested in her. I would have loved more interactions from these three additional angels. What was going on in Heaven that had these other angels upset and some of them intrigued with Jane? The mystery Jane has to solve was not as exciting as in the other books but her interactions with her angels made it better. The book was overall very entertaining and the angel visits were good. I will miss Jane and her angels. If the author decides to write more books in this series, I will definitely want to read them. I recommend reading this series. It was fun, sexy, and an enjoyable read with some mysteries to solve. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is going to be a really interesting series to watch. It looks like there is going to be all kinds of conflict going on, which well definitely keep me interested.

I like Elle. I like her sarcasm and her strength. I think that she's been dealt a bad hand, since she has had to deal with so much in her life. I think that she's done a remarkably good job at keeping her sanity in place because I think that I would probably be considerably less sane than she appears to be.

It's a slow burn, but there's a lot that happens, so it works out really well. I can't wait to see what happens in the next books.

This is a cute quick read. The family drama between the mom and the maternal grandparents felt a little Gilmore Girl-ish to me, but I still would like to know more. I gave it a 4 star because it kept me interested long enough to finish the book and to continue the series.

Too short

So I finally figured out what has been bothering me about this series. I’m not sure if the author was trying to cut pages and make a shorter novel or if she just isn’t that good, but it seems like a lot of action takes place between chapters. The whole summer of her talking to a couple guys and getting to know them, most of her date, all her classes. If more of this actually happened instead of us just getting one sentence to denote the passage of time, I might actually feel like I know some of the characters. Instead all I feel I really know is they ‘make her thighs clench’.
I also feel like to be successful as an author with paranormal or fantasy elements before the book is ever written you have to already have your whole world thought up and written down. As it is I’m still confused they say they have ‘spells’ but then just visualize and wave their hands around... I mean if that’s how all spells work don’t they really just have one??? Plus our character is given this ‘advanced’ potion she has to make... and it takes 2 minutes and has three ingredients... really??? Couldn’t try any harder to make it more difficult?
So while the writing and characters themselves at face value are all good, one you actually start reading one starts to realize we don’t know any of our characters that well and hell I think we’ve been to 1 class??? The author just needs to work on how she presents her world and the events unfolding in it to the audience... maybe some buildup instead of just skipping ahead to all the sex sex sex

Pounding Earth: A Reverse Harem Dragon Fantasy
Starcrossed Dragons, Book 4
By: Erin Bedford, J.A. Cipriano
Narrated by: Melissa Moran
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. I have read this as an ebook first but wanted to hear it too. I sure wish this was not the last one, I would love to hear one more to have the babies born!
I am keeping my original review for this book, it still is appropriate.
This is the final book in the series, say it isn't so!!! SOB! I love this series with the handsome and sexy dragons, the humor, the fantasy, magic, fighting with their powers, and I want to know about her triplets! Surely they have to continue this series! Maybe if enough people beg... lol
The narration is wonderful as it has been with all the other books in this series. Perfect voices to match the men. Great series!

Grinding Frost: A Reverse Harem Dragon Fantasy
Starcrossed Dragons, Volume 2

I love this series! This continues the series where book one left off. There is political intrigue, suspense, assassins, and the love grows between Maya and her harem. It is not a love triangle, they all love her and she loves them and they all protect and care for her together. There is fighting but not between the harem, it is to keep them alive from their enemies. It just keeps getting better!
The narrator is great, she knows how to increase the emotions and keep the story flowing quickly and never lets it lag. Great job!

Riding Lightning: A Reverse Harem Dragon Fantasy Adventure (Starcrossed Dragons) (Volume 1)

I totally loved this fantasy novel!!! Maya is a dragon but is sent to live with humans because her father is a creep. Her sister is chosen to the one to bear the heir so Maya is shipped out. She does good for herself for five long years. Career, friends, money then suddenly she is told she HAS TO come back. Her sister can't have kids and she has to be the one to mate. That was not what she had plans for but she knows she has to go, one way or another. She goes and her dad already has men there! It is a funny and crazy story about guys wanting her to pick them and she is drawn to all of them. It starts with 2 guys and then her old boyfriend comes into the mix. The reader doesn't know who to pick to win! Can't wait for the next story! It is a steamy yet fun story with hot sexy dragon guys. The narrator is perfect for this story and gets the voices, emotions, and inflections down pat! She makes the story run smoothly! Great performance!

**Contains spoilers**

Hummm...I have mixed feelings about this one. I wanted to really like it, because it's a different take on what happens after "Happily Ever After" and that got me excited. However, this is a light novella, so it's far too short, and feels like it needed to be a full novel to fully understand the story. I think it would have been a much more enjoyable story if it started at the beginning where Belle and Jason broke up, the stuff with her dad, and how she met Vincent. I'm not sure if there is a prequel story to this that explains it, but that was definitely missed in the story.

The Story takes place -AFTER- Belle and her Beast are together. So, if you are wanting to read this based on the Beauty and the Beast retelling, that's not the main focus here. I liked the start of the story, and wished it showed a bit more on Belle x Vincent, but I know that's not what the author was going for. I really felt that the story needed more of a backstory, and a lot more interaction between Belle / Vincent for me to even understand what was happening with him. That part of the story left a void for me, and I have a lot of unanswered questions because of it.

1. Was Vincent pretending to be a wussy wolf just to get Belle? His character seemed liked it needed more explaining.
2. Did Belle just use Vincent as a rebound from Jason, cause it seemed like she didn't really like him at all.
3. If Vincent was always leaving for Pack business, why didn't Belle go...."Hey we are living together now, feel like explaining some sup stuff?"
4. If Belle knew he was a Master Pack Leaders son, she should have realized that meant Pack responsibilities to handle.
5. The argument between Belle / Vincent that lead to her leaving. WTH!?! Actually happened? If Vincent was a wussy wolf the majority of the time, it does not explain the sudden rage machine that he turned into. Even being a wolf would not make him change character that much, because it did not affect Jason at all.

Belle and Jason. I enjoyed their interaction, and thought it was cute how she didn't want to be near him, but he kept sneaking after her. His teasing her with naughty text messages sounded hot. =]

**Super spoiler below **

The only other thing that I did not understand was why Belle thought the only way to get away from Vincent was to kill him. That didn't make Jason out to be a heroic Hunter in my eyes, it was premeditated murder. It seemed like she wasn't getting any from Vincent, so that made her super horny, and raged against him. xD This is why I would have loved this to be a full novel. If it was shown in the story how Vincent was actually a super raged wolf that was actually abusing her, it would have made more sense.

The ending. I thought it was kinda cute how Jason and Belle ended up together. However, wouldn't that entire experience made her DEFINITELY NOT want kids? She didn't want them before, and the thing with Vincent I think would have made that a definite no go in my eyes. Also, why didn't it bother her about Jason having to do Pack stuff, but she got enraged with Vincent when all he was trying to do was be with her??

Overall, I did enjoy the book, and the unanswered questions I have will hopefully, be told in a prequel, sequel, short story of some kind in the future. This is also a nice starter if you are looking to try out Paranormal Romance with more adult themes. (ahem, you know... those hot, steamy moments. ;) )

I think Hunter, is a good gateway into the Fairy Tale Bad Boys series, and even though I had some questions/reservations, the ending did make me really curious. The Pirate/Neverland theme for the next one sounds like it will be rather unique and definitely got my attention.

**I received and Advanced Reader Copy from the author, in exchange for an honest & unbiased review.**

I wasn't expecting much when I got this book. Turns out I was wrong. The writing is catchy, the characters are fantastic and complicated and different, and the hate/love relationship between Zoe and Asher, while predictable at times, is hilarious and wonderful.

Zoe is a very feisty princess who every year has spent 9 months with prince Asher growing up. Their parents have organsed for them to marry to cement the alliance between their two kingdoms. The relationship between Asher and Zoe is difficult as they both find things to hate about each other as they seem so different, although they do know each other pretty well. Erin Bedford really lets you into this relationship and the thoughts of both the parties in a very engaging way and keeps you turning the pages as the action starts to heat up and suddenly maybe they don't hate each other as much as they thought.
I really liked how strongly the characters are written as you almost know them, and found the book very easy to read and very hard to put down. Looking forward to the next one and recommend this book.

Cute fantasy story of a feisty princess and her childhood rivalry, the prince with whom she was forced to spend three months of a year since she was a young girl when she would rather be training in combat and fencing. The prospect of having to marry this prince because their parents had arranged it for them, to strengthen the alliance, and safety of their two kingdoms seemed a nightmare and impossible because they can't stand each other and would more likely kill each other before the wedding. Is it because they dislike each other so much that's why they effect each other so? Was it really hatred, or was it something else they felt for each other? You know what they said about love and hate, that scientists prove it really is a thin line between love and hate, almost one and the same.

(share on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, to be posted on Amazon when it's open for reviews).

When i first started reading this book I didn't expect to be drawn into this world, and these people. But Zoe is a spitfire that makes you realize you would want to be around her in real life. Asher is hard headed and determined to make her life miserable. What he didn't know was Zoe was not one to sit idealy by as he did as he pleased. A woman raised in a kingdom where woman can fight right along side men, a man raised in a kingdom where he does as he wishes but women do as they are told. How could this arranged marriage go wrong? They can not stand to be around each other but will that change? What happens when you hate someone as much as you love them?
Grab a copy of this book and find out. It will make you wish you could see it first hand. Erin Bedford writes in a way that brings you into the story, like you are right there with them. She brings the characters to life.
