Aiden Beaverson

I first read this book in middle/high school and forgot the name of it (which drove me crazy). When I found it again it was like being reaquainted with an old friend.
The philosophical/religious tones of the book are evident, reminding one of C.S. Lewis' Narnia. The scenes are vivid and the characters so real that when it is done you are sad to leave thsi world and put the book on the shelf.

Not a great book. The author's prose was choppy and distracting, but not as distracting as the author's penchant for renaming everyday terms (ex: breakfast = mornmeal). In the end the book came off as more amusing than anything else which I really don't think was the plan. The only saving grace of this book was that it was short.
