It's hard for me to describe how I feel about this book - there is a lot going on, a lot of world-hopping adventures and a constant raising of the stakes with every chapter. But I will say that 1) for a book called Lost Almost, I wish it had spent more time in Los Alamos and in the lab itself, 2) it really reveled in its antagonists' more disgusting behaviors, to the point of becoming uncomfortable to read, and 3) that the way that some of the conflicts were dealt with near the end of the book felt surprisingly anti-climactic.

And apparently this is a book in a series? Because characters would refer to events in other stories, as if this was part of a series, which is not made clear when you pick it up to read. If I had known that going in, I might have actually read them in order - whatever order that is.

Also, maybe this wasn't the best book to read during a world-wide pandemic! Considering the plot! (upside-down smiling emoji)… (plus d'informations)
