A miscellaneous collection of interviews with former settlers of the Mangapurua, not very well stitched together. An important piece of local history, as the author was lucky enough to talk to the elderly eyewitnesses who settled the valley post-WWI. One of the few sources dealing with the construction of the famous Bridge to Nowhere.
