The Sanibel Sunset Detective (The Sanibel Sunset… par Ron Base
I really enjoyed this first installment in a series set on Sanibel Island. The main character is a retired journalist with no qualifications to be a detective, but he has read all of the classic hard-boiled detective novels and seen the films. This becomes a hard-boiled mystery with lots of humor. Our hero isn't much of a tough guy, but he has a good heart. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Great books with heaps of fantastic photos and lots of interesting infomation about the movies of the 80s and the industry itself. Totally relived all of the movies I saw in the 1980s. A book I would dip into again and again I think.
