Well this was certainly an epic story both in length and in its subject matter, but it was well worth the time it took to read. My second favourite fanfic after 'The Red Line'.
This was very good, well written, angsty. My only problem with it was I felt it went on far longer than it needed to. I kept thinking it was almost done, but the author kept tossing in more and more angst. But all in all, I'm very happy I read this.
ONE FIC TO RULE THEM ALL!
This is the quintessential All Human Twilight fan fiction. Unlike the many wanna-bes that followed in it's wake (many of which are not published) Wide Awake fits more into the Young Adult (or even New Adult) genre than contemporary romance. Angst heavy and with a staggeringly long word count, this is the mother of all AH Twilight fan fics.
I could never get into the story myself, not for a lack of trying, but I can say that it is easy to see why it appealed to so many readers and remains the most popular and beloved Twilight fan fiction EVER!
