Tim Anderson is a chef, food writer, and MasterChef champion. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Tim studied Japanese food culture at university and lived in Japan for two years. After moving to London, he won MasterChef in 2011, which catapulted him into a position as one of the UK’s most prominent voices on Japanese food, American food, and craft beer. He has operated the pop-up Japanese restaurant Nanban since 2013, which has inspired a book, Nanban: Japanese Soul Food. Tim’s restaurant of the same name, opened in the heart of Brixton at the end of 2015, and has been widely supported by critics and customers alike.

This is a wonderful beginner Japanese vegan cookbook. It has all the basic dishes with some tasty sauces that you will want to use on just about everything. Most of the ingredients are easy to find, and if not in your area Amazon had them all. This. Is a good start for learning to develop Japanese flavors

I was given this book today, I'm not a vegan but I don't eat huge amounts of meat either. My girlfriends favourite cuisine is Japanese so it is mine also. On day one I have made the pickled shiitake, curry roux (for later) and kimchi miso hotpot for tea. Every recipe was easy to make, with obtainable ingredients and super tasty.
