Critiques

This is another story that I grew up with, and most all Japanese children know. It teaches great values, to be kind to others, and others will give back the kindness in one way or another. However, if you are greedy and not kind, the same will come back to you.

When you read it as an adult, the end for the raccoon seems very brutal and cruel, but the raccoon does have it coming to him. This is a perfect example of karma. What you do for others, comes right back to you.
