Teeny feral kitten navigates the first days of her new VIP lifestyle with a Japanese family. Cute and very reminiscent of actual things you're likely to observe in actual kittens. The babyish language of both the kitten and the human toddler were a bit annoying for my adult brain, but I doubt kids would mind.

Hands down the cutest thing I've read in a while. Short little comics about an adorable as truck kitten.

This was fun, very cute, and quick to read through. I enjoyed it, but I didn’t feel the same level of attachment as with Chi. It just doesn’t have much storyline. Fuku Fuku is about a small kitten adopted by an elderly woman. It depicts the day-to-day antics of the kitten, how it adjusts to its new home and the older woman likewise, gets used to having a kitten. Fuku Fuku is a bit standoffish in the beginning, easily startled, doesn’t like to be touched or petted at first. She has to be taught to use her scratching post, tries new foods, roams around the house looking for a warm place to sleep when it gets colder, is frightened by cords (that look like snakes), gets upset when the woman watches someone’s puppy for a day (they end up playing in the end), makes messes and other minor trouble- but the woman simply can’t get mad at her, because she’s so cute. Eventually she goes outside a bit and meets another kitten and a few adult cats in the neighborhood, and has a brief encounter with a dog. Very everyday stuff, but just the thing if you love cats and want an adorable, easy light read! There was one slightly strange episode that seemed out of place, where the kitten dreamed it was in an Alice in Wonderland scneario, changing sizes. I didn’t get that, but as it’s only a few pages, easy to gloss over.

So happy Chi's adventures are continuing after Chi's Sweet Home. Lots of funny stories especially when she is outside with her fellow cats. Cute graphics and a must read for any cat lover.

The first thing that happens to Chi the kitten is she gets separated from her family and her life changes. But she is endearing and intrepid and finds her way into the home of a small family who (technically) are not allowed to keep her. So Chi begins her life in kitty fashion, eating, sleeping, peeing and playing. Her insights and understanding of the world are utterly feline and childlike, and anyone who has raised a kitten (or a child) will be charmed by her ways. I’m hooked on Chi!

Cute story, but I'm not a fan of the baby-speak.

Any flaws that I had with the past two books really just got washed away by the fact that Cocchi is just a good character. Making a really fun foil to Chi without being an antagonistic person and a negative way is a very interesting character dynamic, Cocchi is by all means and antagonist, but in cheese story it is such a low-tier thing to be an antagonist but by being an antagonist all that means is that you have opinions that are not Chi's, this book is probably the fastest one to read so far, book one and book two take a little bit longer to digest because there's a lot more being given to us. But book three just hasn't flow so nicely, especially with the introduction of just having Cocchi exist besides Chi in multiple ways.

It does bring up the whole family angle which I kind of don't care about, I don't care if she ever finds her mother, and I don't know why these relative cats are still there besides the fact that the mother is obviously trying to find her. But we've seen multiple times that the other two especially the one that looks like Chi is in danger. The cat that looks like Chi is constantly jumped grabbed and bothered. And the mother is obviously struggling to take care of her kids. So while I understand the Japanese family angle it really doesn't go well with the story. But it makes a lovely red herring and if they keep it up with the red herring angle I would love it.½

Chi's Sweet Home follows the story of Chi, a small kitten who one day wanders away from her mother and siblings and gets lost by accident. She is found by a little boy and his mother. who decide to take the kitten home to help her find a new home. After being unable to find Chi a new place, they decide to keep her, even though their apartment is pet-free. We see Chi as she learns how to live life in her new home, the friends (both humans and animals) she makes, and the lessons she learns. This "slice of life" graphic novel is fun for all ages, with adorable illustrations and a simple plot.

It's kind of cute. Chi is very kitten.
Baby talk gets annoying super fast.

Chi's Sweet Home part two is, like its series tends to be, a very expensive book(averaging around thirty dollars) but a wonderful one. While a bit smaller than the first one, it's packed with far more characters.

I am impressed to see a rabbit in this series, seems a very unlikely thing to see. The world Chi lives in is obviously very cat dominated and I quite like the variety of them we are shown. We see Chis ""rival"" finally show up in this book, Cocchi is quite the plot changer, as he is grumpy but also a kitten too.

I've heard these guys don't grow up in the series(which is how most series go, locked in time), but I can't help but keep wondering what some of these kittens will look like as adults.

I didn't really care for the side plot of getting Chi back to her mother. Chi's already forgotten her and it feels too convenient to have them just reunite together when Chi has a home. Plus actual cats in the book don't talk about their parents so it's clear cats here are the same as real life cats. Weaning means yeeting them. So Chi has even less of a reason to find her mother.

I am eager to see more of Blackie and Cocchi, and possibly more dog shenanigans as well. Chi is a charming series, and I love it.

Another super cute installment to this children's manga series. Chi's Sweet Home follows a kitten as he adjusts to life with his new family. He's learning to be part of a family and also learning how to be a cat. In this fourth installment, he starts to learn about his original family, his mom and kitty siblings, because he has forgotten them. Once they are back in his life though, Chi will have to make some hard choices. Can families be more than blood or are families those we choose? Adorable as always.

As a series that I've followed for years, I'm amazed I never saw the manga and learned how Chi got her name, or how she got her home. I can honestly say this manga is as wholesome as the shows and even jerked a surprise tear from my eyes near the end.

If you love cats and happy stories or just animal stories, you'll love this introductory to a new manga to binge. Chi's not Heathcliff or Garfield or any cat you've read in the normal comic format.

Chi's her own sweet little story.

This was a cute collection of cat comics! It had a sweet relationship between the cats, the older teacher cat and the baby student kitten, like that scene in Spiderman Into the Spiderverse where they're swinging through the trees.½

Who would have thought I would read through 4 Volumes of manga about a little kitten named Chi? I loved her so much and she was always so cute!! My eyes were welling up so bad near the end of this volume and my heart was pounding so hard.

I would like to say that this volume is slightly different from the rest, it has a bit more serious issues addressed. This volume deals with a lot of identity, family, and home. Though through a small kitten, it still tells a lot.

Overall, I'm sad Chi's story has come to an end. I love that I got to know her and the Yamada's. This is such a feel good, loving story.

More fun and wacky adventures of Chi the kitten.

I read this volume in one setting and couldn't put it down. It just kept putting a smile on my face.

Chi and Cocchi's relationship made me so happy! The way they would wait for each other to play - my heart! I also love how Blackie is there to help and swoop in if needed, but still lets Chi be Chi.

I still have a slight panic attack when Chi goes outside and gets lost. She always ends up in a good place but still... I just want her safe but still able to explore!

This is just a super cute and adorable manga and I can't wait to get my hands on more.

The second volume of The Complete Chi's Sweet Home picks up where the first one left off. Chi and the Yamada family move into a new apartment and Chi has a bit of a hard time adjusting at first. She meets a lot of new animal friends, and even some new cats!

This collection is just as cute at the last one! I picked it up and read it all in one day, in a few settings. It was a nice, adorable read, especially since I'm just getting over being sick.

I keep getting worried Chi's going to get lost though. I don't have outside cats - and if I ever let my cat outside, I barely take my eyes off her. Chi running around the city gives me a little anxiety every time. But Chi seems to make friends where she goes and I can't wait to see what other adventures she goes on in the next volume(s).

The Complete Chi's Sweet Home, Part 1, follows a mischievous newborn kitten who gets herself separated from her mother and siblings. Overcome with loneliness, she breaks into tears in a park meadow. She is suddenly rescued by a young boy named Yohei and his mother who bring her into the warm and inviting home Yamada family apartment... a place where pets are strictly not permitted.

This collection will appeal to anyone who has had a pet since infancy (though cat lovers especially will enjoy this). I am a huge cat lover, my cat, who I've had for 10.5 years, is my child. This comic is absolutely adorable and filled with cuteness overload. This edition is nearly 480 pages of Chi's cartoon tales and installments of the volume are no more than maybe 8 pages long. The volume can be read in one relaxing setting (like I did), or I can see readers breaking it up to a bit at a time.

I enjoyed all the characters in the series, especially the big black cat, "Blackie". Chi's adoration for him and his "annoyance" of her describes an older car meeting a kitten very well.

Though this book is aimed more towards children, I think anyone would enjoy it. It's a cute and adorable comic/manga collection about a kitten. What's not to love?!

I absolutely cried reading this, much like I’ve cried over every previous volume and the anime series adapted from it. 10/10, would Chi again.

An adorable collection of simple stories about a kitten who is found by a young boy and all the antics she gets into, adjusting to life with her new family. Nothing ground-breaking here but this book is a great introduction to graphic novels for young readers, especially cat lovers. The full colour illustrations are quirky and appealing. My only qualm is the babytalk voice that Chi speaks in - it's a bit too cutesy.

As with the first two in this series, Part 3 jumps right in and Chi wastes no time getting trouble. From getting lost and dirty, and locked in a tool shed, to winning over the new kitten and playmate; this adorable series keeps on generating smiles. There is also the question of whether Chi will get reunited with his family. They apparently live not to far off but they just keep missing each other. Will Chi even recognize them? Suspense!!

So stinking cute. Even though this volume is huge it's a quick read because you can't put it down. Chi as usual gets up to lots of antics. Chi's family has moved from the no pets allowed apartment to a bigger pet friendly one a blocks away. Chi is enamored by the space and the new yard. Plus there are lots of interesting new pets in the building. Chi has a penchant for going outside past boundaries and getting lost and surprise surprise that happens again. This time, Chi finds another cat; about the same size and age and the two become friends (begrudgingly on the other cats part). Beautifully illustrated and simplistically amazing. I love this series.
