Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet too realize that there are no more days on the calendar after December is over. They compose a poem to say goodbye to all the months of the year, becoming melancholy as they think there are no more months to come. When they happen across their other friends in the 100 Acre Woods celebrating, Christopher Robin informs them that a new year is coming with all the months all over again!

This is fun way to talk about New Year's celebrations and what the holiday means. I enjoyed how each month is celebrated in the poem, allowing children to reflect on all that happens in a year. However, I found this book was a little too lengthy and wordy for my class of toddlers; I think it would be a hit with slightly older kids in preschool or kindergarten, especially if a parent or other loved one could read it one-on-one with a child and talk about things relevant to their own past year.
