Wise and enchanting. Turns out not to be a horror story at all. So, the people who want a horror story pick this up and are disappointed, and those who would like this don't pick it up. So, it's not nearly as well-known as it should be. The young people who would like it the most are the ones who like to imagine being independent orphans but who do actually have happy families. The siblings in this are only alone for a day and a half, but oh my goodness the experiences they have, the growth they experience!

If you've any interest, read it now before your library culls it. ( )
