Più che un vero e proprio libro lo definirei piuttosto un racconto, piacevole e simpatico, di veloce lettura.
Jacob deve trovare quanto prima un nuovo coinquilino e il modo più semplice è quello lasciare degli annunci nella bacheca del campus. Ma qualcuno li ha fatti sparire e, per riuscire a scoprire chi sia il ladro, a Jacob non resta che iniziare un fitto scambio di messaggi con un fantomatico Mister X che, pian piano, gli ruberà il cuore.
Molto gradevole, vivace, spiritoso e anche romantico.

Noticed Me Yet? is the story of Jacob who writes to a mysterious Mr. X on a student billboard. The story is told in third person from Jacob’s pov.



This book is a very fast read. It’s only around seventy pages and is set up with short letters alternating with real life interaction between characters. There’s also a subplot dealing with the aftermath of Jacob’s breakup with his ex, Scott.

Jacob needs a new flat mate so he posts a 'For Rent' ad up on his college’s billboards, unfortunately someone tears them all down. Peeved, Jacob writes a sarcastic note on one of the boards to the person he eventually labels Mr. X, and thus the correspondence between Mr. X and Jacob begins. At the same time the paper relationship develops between the two, Jacob has an interview assignment with his ex-boyfriend, Scott. This is a subplot that weaves well with the growing attraction Jacob has with Mr. X through the billboard. Jacob does interact with three guys who wish to rent the room at Jacob’s place. He doesn’t know who is Mr. X, so it becomes a game with Jacob to find out who Mr. X really is. There’s a brief conflict at the end that resolves to a HEA.

This story was cute. It reminded me of where characters use text messages throughout a book, only bulletin boards were used in this case. The one thing I didn’t believe, was that no one in the entire college wasn’t reading the notes, which were in plain sight or that someone didn’t throw the notes in the trash to mess with Jacob or Mr. X. There are people that would do that. But in a way this story is a fairytale so technicalities are skipped.

I wondered if this story was set in England, because the word ‘bin’ was used instead of trashcan. However, I didn’t notice any other words or phrases that reminded me of Britspeak.

This is a fluffy, fast read. The only thing I wish, is it was a bit longer. I give Noticed Me Yet?, 3 Stars. ( )

you know what??? this was really cute.

after the emotional rollercoaster that was rock, i didnt know what to expect, but i knew that i liked anyta's character building, and i desperately needed something short and sweet to combat the NEVERENDINGNESS of the book im currently reading, so a short little novella was just what i needed.

AND ITS REALLY CUTE. its super fast paced and engaging and i loved how much of the story is told in note format. and yes, i did like all the characters, even the ones i thought i wouldnt like! save for a tiny little incident towards the end, where i thought one reaction to a thing was a bit oversized. but i still liked them all, and maybe if all men were more like these five fictional men i wouldnt be a lesbian. much to think about.

i also liked how ACTUALLY mysterious the whole thing was. i straight up could not fuckin tell which guy was the guy and god knows i tried, it was just curveball after curveball. overall super wholesome, quick little read! very pleased! ( )
