I loved it. Probably my favourite read this year. I am a big fan of Lori Lansens writing.

Y. Sherman Young The Book is Dead. Long live the book
As a book lover I found this a somewhat disheartening read. Maybe we all need to buy more books to boost sales. But gee I love a bargain.

X. Xinran Sky Burial
A great read, informative and sympathetic look at the Tibetan lifestyle, as encountered by Shu Wen in her search for her missing husband. There are no shortage of tales for Xinran's pen.

A magnificent piece of writing. I did not want to be disturbed. I will seek out her other novels to add to my TBR shelves.

W. David Wroblewski The Story of Edgar Sawtelle.
At last, this was my Christmas book last year, so needed to read it before this Christmas. Enjoyable but overly long tale of men and their dogs.

Z. Farahad Zama The Marriage Bureau for Rich People.
I chose this for Z as it came recommended, and it was enjoyable , undemanding and yet thought provoking re marriage customs in India.
