I finished my first Six Degrees of Separation Challenge. Since I always read books that are somewhat related, I think I'll do another one, using two more categories from my 999 Challenge.

Books of Jewish Interest

1. The Way to the Cats - Yehoshua Kenaz
***The authors of both books are Israeli.
2. The Dawning of the Day: A Jerusalem Tale - Haim Sabato
***Faith is a recurrent theme of both books.
3. Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott
***Both books were written by women.
4. Sorry - Gail Jones
*** There is a violent death at the beginning of both books.
5. McSweeney's mammoth treasury of thrilling tales - Michael Chabon
***Both of the books are by Michael Chabon.
6. The Yiddish Policemen's Union - Michael Chabon - about Jews - Polar theme

Congratulations of finishing your first challenge. I'm only on my second book *she said enviously*. Your new challenge sounds good - I'll be watching to see how you do it.

The key, I think, was to list as many books as I read and then see which ones I could eliminate. I had to read eight books in order to get those six to link up in some way.

I'm doing something similar, just putting whichever fit, not really worrying about trying to consciously find them first.

What I actually did was work down from the top with links while simultaneously working up from the bottom with links before choosing those to eliminate. That seemed to work just fine.

I'm almost there! I just have to finish the book I'm currently reading. Then I'll try for a third set.
