Shelf Locations

I'm working to catalog a public library, which needs to be re-shelved. What's the best way to create searchable shelf locations in LibraryThing, so that library users can search a book and get the shelf location for it?

I responded to your other post (which is in a more appropriate location for this type of question; this group is focused on an attempt a while ago to let users design new appearances for LT).
