Hi!
I noticed that a book I just imported (https://www.librarything.com/work/32274435) doesn't have the year next to it on the author page (https://www.librarything.com/author/deganalice) despite it being included in the book details. Sorting works by most recent leaves it at the bottom, despite it being the most recent of them.
Any suggestions?

You have entered a date at book level, but with only one copy, just entered, the computer has not (yet) established a work level date. Not a bug. Books on the author page are ordered by number of copies, with the works most entered at the top. A newly entered work with only one copy is at the bottom, where it belongs. Not a bug.
If you enter the first publication date in CK, that might give the work a date faster. It will not move the book higher on the work list on the author page.
Note: If you put parenthesis around a URL, it will not be a link.

>2 MarthaJeanne: Good to know!
I believe works can be ordered by either popularity or recency on the author page (there's buttons to the right of the works list that lets you toggle between them).

>3 AurumCalendula: True, it's a relatively new feature. Try entering the original publication date in Common Knowledge, as suggested, and see if it helps get it to author page right away. Otherwise, it depends on how often the system indexes that part, mostly it's a day or two, but some parts like work level tag clouds are only every few months. Some, like author, title and cover, have the recalculate option so members can initiate indexing for one particular work on their own. I doubt it affects publication year, but you can try hitting recalculate title/author on the work page. It's at the bottom of the right sidebar.
