It was a YA or Middle Grade novel I got from an elementary school library in Tennessee in the mid 1970's.
The plot was something like this:
A girl runs away and gets injured or sick in a storm in the woods (or on some sort of path.) She is found and taken to a bedroom in a large house to recover. There's something about hearing piano music that is familiar to her. It eventually turns out she's in the home of her father who she never knew.
I've been wondering for decades what this book was.

Could be Mandy by Julie Andrews Edwards.

I don't think that was it, but I'm getting it from the library to check. Thanks for a possibility to try.

It also sounds like the sort of thing Isabelle Holland wrote, so it might be worth checking her back-catalog.
