Thanks for sharing. That of course is a huge question which Christians have wrestled with for two millennia, often subsumed under the term "theodicy", and I won't begin to address the theology of it. But as an old chap entering three score years and ten, I focus on God's unconditional love, mercy and forgiveness. If you do the best you can every day, then you have not "failed", and God will not judge you as such.

if your hungry for a meal and all that stood between you and your meal was murdering some poor bastard on the street corner, why would God put you in a state of hunger so sever nearing death you would momentarily think about killing someone just to relieve your hunger?.

Is it God who puts you in that state of hunger, or is it a human society which allows some people to become rich and comfortable while others remain poor and marginalised? You may have read Les Miserables (or seen the musical), where Jean Valjean is imprisoned for many years because he stole a loaf of bread to feed a starving child. Was his action really a sin? I don't think so. The sin lies with society.

why is understanding the bible easier than geometry

I was a maths teacher in my younger days so I found geometry easy, whereas trying to understand the bible has been a lifetime journey which is still continuing. But there are many levels to the bible. The headline message of God's love, mercy and forgiveness is relatively easy to understand (albeit perhaps more difficult to internalise), but as we grow, develop, mature, study, pray and experience God working in our lives we discover new depths of understanding. And ultimately our faith is about an ever-deepening personal relationship with God rather than intellectual understanding. You say you're still at the beginning of your faith journey. My prayers are with you as you continue on that long path. Remain hopeful and joyful in God's love.
