Back again for another year, missed my target in 2023 so reducing to 34 for 2024. Still enjoying the slow reduction of books on my shelves and feeling like I can buy more future ROOTs.

1. All Systems Red
2. Labyrinths
3. Stone Fruit
4. American Journeys
5. Novel with Cocaine

6. Steppenwolf
7. Vladimir
8. My Brilliant Friend
9. The Story of a New Name
10.

Hi Kale, glad to see you back for another year of ROOTing. Very smart to make some room for future ROOTs.

January
1. All Systems Red finished 9th January, a short and fun read. Will be seeking out the rest of the series.
2. Labyrinths finished 9th January, amazing short fiction collection with flavours throughout of magical realism and labyrinths.
3. Stone Fruit finished 16th January, impactful and very real feeling story about love, family and break-ups.

>7 brakketh: I read Labyrinths last year. I must admit I struggled with much of it, I don't think my brain is quite wired right to understand it! The language was gorgeous though, even in translation.

January continued
4. American Journeys finished 26th January, love the way Watson writes and the depth of knowledge he brings to topics to help contextualise.

February
5. Novel with Cocaine finished 5th February. Not really my cup of tea, the disaffected youth wasn't really the energy I wanted.
6. Steppenwolf finished 20 February.

March
7. Vladimir finished 11th March.
8. My Brilliant Friend finished 12th March. This has been sitting on my shelf for ages. I really enjoy the portrayal of the changing nature of the friendships.
9. The Story of a New Name finished 27th March.
