Thanks for starting the thread. For once, I have no new King or Hill to read. I picked up a Kelly Braffet at the library: Save Yourself. I may also reread The Eyes of the Dragon with my son.

I finally read The Breathing Method so I can say that I've finished Different Seasons by King. I'll try something else, but I've got a huge pile of books in the stacks for this month. I do plan to read some King and Hill all year long so I'll continue to post here.

I finished Stephen King's Cujo, about a rabid dog that turns into a killer. It's not as scary or gripping as some of his other novels, but I liked the various subplots that explored family relationships.

The last book I completed was Joe Hill's The Fireman. I am currently reading Horns. I will write his books do have "dragging" sections, but for the most part are page-turners. The last sentence of The Fireman's chapters got a bit predictable - in the sense they were semi spoilers for what is to come. The few times things happened where there were no warning were enjoyable. Especially one time when the lead female's evil husband showed up. I nearly dropped the book when that happened because it was so unexpected.

I have read a lot of Stephen King, but he has written so much there are more books of his I have not read than I have! Here are my top five SK's:
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon I am also a huge Red Sox fan. That helped me enjoy this book.
Dolores Claiborne I listened to this book on tape. The format makes hearing this book out loud a great way to go.
Salem's Lot This introduced me to King. Way-back-when I watched the television miniseries then read the book. After finishing one of the Dark Tower books, I re-read it due to King cleverly using a Lot character in the DT book.
The Eyes of the Dragon A very entertaining book.

Thanks! I read Eyes of the Dragon before I finished the Dark Tower books. I might re-read it to see what / if anything/ I missed now that I have read the DT series.

Yes, I remember seeing her picture on the audio case and recognizing her from Cheers. I think I watched Misery a long time ago, but can't recall her in that movie...

My January book finally came in for me at the library, so I picked it up a few days ago and read it today:

Locke & Key. Vol. 4. Keys to the Kingdom / Joe Hill
3.5 stars

The two older Locke kids are having trouble with their relationships, while the youngest, Bode, continues to explore the keys and his mother wants him to make friends. He does make a friend of Rufus, who lives with Kinsey’s boyfriend, Zack.

It was good. I love the artwork in this series. I have to admit, though, that because I always have such a long gap in between books in the series, it takes me a while when I start reading to remember what had happened previously. Great ending in this one!
