Well this year I haven't really read many of my Dutch writers or Netherlandish themed books, but my aim is to revert to all things Dutch for 2008, among a few other things like reading the whole of Shakespeare (I've only read the tragedies to date) and more poetry.
So, hopefully then I will have more to contribute in here.
All the recommendations so far have been warmly received and often found themselves in my TBR pile or on my wish list, so keep them coming.

Meneer Vondel was the poet who the Dutch Shakespeare! Unfortunately rarely translated into English!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
I am looking forward to new discoveries and hearing of others dutch passions in the coming year.
