I wonder if anyone here can help me: I would love to find the math textbooks I used in school in the UK from 1967 to 1968. They were a series, I think by Durrell (I could be confused with Gerald Durrell there).
I started secondary school in the Upper Third (as classes were known then - usual age would be 12-13) and we used Volume III, which had a red cover, with a variety of conversions inside the covers, including things like hogsheads and chains.
The next year (Lower Fourth) we had volume IV.
The class one year behind us did 'New Maths' and consequently had different textbooks.
I have very fond memories of those classes - even though I got told off for reading instead of working (I had done the sums already).
