I read Moring's 'On Babylon' a while ago and became very absorbed with it, however for some reason the end let me down. Not enough that I won't read it again to write more fully here.

I have just read 'The Dream Room' (published as 'Modellfliegen' in dutch, model airplanes I guess) by Marcel Moring. I think it will be a novella requiring a second read quite soon. It starts off as quite a charming story about how a small family find an alternative means of making a living, but that slides into something more complex involving memory and history. I don't think I quite caught everything. On some levels this little book almost works as a volume of short stories. The atmosphere of intimacy at times is quite powerful, and the sensation of being a child in an adult world, and there are some undercurrents I want to revisit.

Caroline, I have posted about Mörings picture in the group "Author pictures. I want the picture removed from the third party photo site and I want the link to the pic on that site removed from LT. You had no right to copy that picture.
Why didn't you just link to the same picture on the LT author page?
