fictional romance set in Louisiana

Hi all!
I love romance novels and read one of my favorites years ago, but I can't remember the title or author. I do remember the main female character was named Faith, and as a young child she and her impoverished family (father and little brother) were kicked out of their home and were run out of town by a wealthy family because it was thought that Faith's mother ran away with the husband/father of that family.

As a young adult she returns to town to face the family that ran them out of town, and finds herself attracted to the son, who still believes his father ran away all those years ago with Faith's mother. But Faith knows her mother never left town with the father, so it becomes a little bit of a mystery what happened to the father. As Faith is trying to figure out the mystery, she is falling for the son, and he is begrudgingly falling for her. It is set in Louisiana, I believe.
