My theory before the book came along was that Harry was a horcrux and that for Voldemort to die, he would have to die to. So although this is partially what happened... I was not expecting it to happen the way it actually happened. I mean, I thought there'd be no more Harry let alone Voldemort. I can't say it was a disapointment - I was suprised that part of my theory was ... true. But what about you? Did you have a theory about number 7 and did it happen?

i thought that harry was a horcrux and would have to die too(even though i was hoping he wouldn't die). but the way that j.k rowling did it, was very unexpected! i had no idea that once he sacrificed himself, he would be able to come back and defeat voldemort.

some other theories i had that were correct were that R.A.B was regulas black, ginny and harry getting back together, and ron and hermione finally getting together! i loved the kiss between ron and hermione; we've had to wait soo long for that!!!

another theory that was partially correct was that snape was good and should be trusted. however, i had no idea that he loved lily, although that makes sense why he hated james. i loved the memories that he gave harry, but i was sad that he died when he did, for no particular reason at all.

Oh yes! The Ron and Hermione kiss... it was totally unexpected to me. And especially how it happened. In the room of requirements or something like that? And she just sort of - jumped onto him? And because he was defending house elves! It came a shock!

About Snape... Ever since finishing the Half Blood Prince, I was determined that he wasn't a good guy so number 7 gave me an even bigger shock!

I had always thought Snape was a good guy; though I started having my doubts midway through book 7 and he hadn't been vidicated yet. I don't know what tipped me off, but I had figured Snape was in love with Lily, so that wasn't a shock, the way it came out was pretty sad.

I kept expecting Dumbledore to come back at some point. I was kind of expecting a Gandolf moment (Gandolf the Grey becomes Gandolf the white) or that his death was a hoax. I'm glad those weren't the case, but I knew we'd see him again somehow.
