Anybody out there grow up with the Kingston Trio?

My Dad had a few of their records. My bro.s and I listened to the song about Anne Boleyn - with her head tucked underneath her arm she walked the bloody tower... - more times than I've probably listened to any other song. Ever.

Absolutely. I still have a couple of their albums on vinyl. One of their members was from Hawai'i and lived here for a long time; he used to show up in the 3-dot columns once in a while.

I've always liked "Charlie and the M.T.A." and "Tom Dooley."

I believe Dave Guard was from Hawaii. Tom Shane lived in Atlanta and owned a bar out near I-285 and Roswell Rd. somewhere. I don't know if he still lives there or not. I don't know anything about where Nick Reynolds was from.
