I thought I would go ahead and get a thread started for February's read of The Thirteenth Tale. I excited to be reading this one with a group.
Do we want to structure the chapters by weeks? Or just have spoiler/spoiler-free threads?

Thanks for starting the thread Victoria. I purchased my copy on the weekend so I am ready for February!
My preference, since you asked, is for a couple of threads structured by chapter. I like to post comments as I read through the book - and ask questions when I don't quite get something - without having to discover the ending when I am not there yet. I would suggest leaving this thread as the general spoiler-free thread and then have two or three spoiler threads for everyone as they work their way through the book.
I am flexible to what the rest of the group decides.

I, too, have my copy and can't wait to dig in. I agree with Lori about having chapter threads for discussion as we go.

I count 52 chapters.... how many spoiler threads do we want? 26 chapters each, for 2 threads or 13 chapters each, for 4 threads?

Good question. I went and looked through my copy and just noticed that the book is divided into three sections - Beginnings, Middles, and Endings - so how about we have three spoiler threads, one for each of the sections?

That would work fine for me.

Sounds good to me, too.

Have fun with the group read. I read the book over the weekend and absolutely loved it. I hope you will too!

I read this book in December and enjoyed it. It is one of my book group's choices for 2011. Will be interesting to see what others think of it.

I haven't had as much time this week to read The Thirteenth Tale - work has been busy and my brother surprised me - happily! - by being in town this week on business. I will be back in reading mode tomorrow and commenting in the spoiler threads over the weekend.
