I use this librarything account to catalogue books I have recently finished reading, cover to cover. I don't list books that I dip into, speed read, or have read at some point but don't remember in detail.

I also don't list books in my library: firstly, it's scattered between three continents; secondly, if I started collecting books as physical objects (beautiful as they are), I'd soon be broke.

I used this account from 2005-2008, and just started using it again (2012) as a way of tracking my reading habits.

Living a highly mobile lifestyle while trying to get through a lot of books means I now try to avoid buying books at all. I prefer to use libraries. I also haven't read all the books I own, so I don't think I should go on any book-buying sprees until I have. One day, it would be nice to have all my books in one place. And to have read them all.
