A heavy concentration in science-fiction, also series mysteries, self-help, and popular novels.

Interested in human potential and in what happens when people reach the "self-actualizing" level of Maslow's pyramid. Does "punctuated equilibrium" occur? A paradigm shift? Does change occur faster? Do they find a way off the (Mobius) strip timeline (as in Mark Clifton's story, "Star Bright")? I like novels/stories that explore this theme, typically stories of either an exceptional person in an average world, or--even better--an average person thrown into an exceptional situation. I also like stories that deal with the righting of wrongs, stories with a champion who defends the defenseless.
