A propos de ma bibliothèque
I've recently begun an ambitious project of organizing my bookshelves. I've actually gotten all the fiction and poetry in pretty good repair, but I have a long way to go on non-fiction. I welcome any suggestion.
A propos de moi
I teach English Composition and Introduction to Literature (stories, poems, and plays) at Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, PA.

Besides my love of reading, particularly short stories, I enjoy playing chess and guitar. I write short fiction and memoir and have had a few pieces published in small literary magazines.

My taste in reading leans toward contemporary literary fiction, regardless of gender, race, or political persuasion. It's all about the writing and characterization, to me.

My favorite short story writers are Jhumpa Lahiri, Rick Moody, Lorrie Moore, and Charles Baxter; my favorite novelists, John Updike, Don Delillo, Anne Tyler, Margaret Atwood, and Philip Roth.

I love talking about fiction and politics, but not together. I think they're like oil and water.

That's my story, for now.
