Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, I still live there half the year and in Dublin, Ireland the rest of the time. I've been a soldier, freelance journalist, tended bar, sold designer cakes and owned a painting and decorating company. If that doesn't offend you I also play the bagpipes in the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band. I write humorous crime thrillers filled with the sort of oddballs we're curious about but prefer, wisely, to keep at a distance. The circumstances they find themselves in are usually due to bad decisions, but bad decisions make for interesting stories.
