A propos de ma bibliothèque
A constant work in progress, my library is my most valued possession. Although I focus on Religion (Catholic, Monastic, Hagiography, Liturgics, Thomas Merton, C.S. Lewis, etc.), I have many "guilty pleasure" collections (Stephen King, "The Executioner" series, Anne Rice, "Thieves' World" books, etc). I also aim for a competent reference collection targeted to my interests (Classic and Medieval History-religious, and general-, Nature and Animal Science-Dogs, Birds, Trees,etc- Writing, and Bible translations. My goal is to use, enjoy, and pass on a complete library tailored to my general interests. I would like to think it is one that explores and glorifies God, His creation, and the history of His interaction with our History.
A propos de moi
I am a Cistercian monk and an Independent Catholic Priest living in the US desert Southwest. I am medically retired from law enforcement and am permanently disabled. I am working on my first book, as well as beginning my Masters degree in Biblical Theology. My goal is to then design and complete a doctoral program in Hagiography.
My non-religion related interests include: voracious reading of Literature, Fiction, Biographies, and History (especially pre-Renaissance Medieval History). I enjoy bird watching, Museums, Opera, Theatre and Musical Theatre, Listening to music (eclectic), writing, and time with my feline and canine companions. Although generally techno-phobic, I am very excited about being able to catalog and maintain my library so easily.
