Jamie lives on the edge of the rugged beauty of the Peak District with her two cats, Adyn and DeeDee, but not with her American partner of three years, Mary Ann. After a number of false starts, they are still trying to find a way to live on the same continent.

Brought up in rural South Warwickshire, Jamie gained a degree in Architectural Studies at Sheffield University and then stayed. After drifting into software design and development some fifteen years ago, she still hasn't escaped. While she works with the technology of the present, what interests her is the past. After years as a re-enactor and living historian, she is now studying archaeology part-time. A keen reader, writing is a recent development, drawing on her favourite genres of historical and speculative fiction.
