While I love books, I rarely keep one after reading for sharing a good read is the best part! My father, daughters, and friends are all active readers and books go from household to household, rarely reappearing. That said, a few select favorites such as poems by Robert Frost or my many cooksbooks eill always remain.

Working as an International Development Consultant, I have traveled extensively in developing coountries. Most recently my work has been post conflict having spent much of the past 2 years in Afghanistan, Iraq and Jordan. As a consequence of my travels and interest in history, I find historical novels are truly my favorites for personal reading.
