I tend to read: history books (my favorite area is medieval history, but by no means do I limit my interest there), historical novels, fiction, and yes, some of the "classics".

Believe it or not, I actually work in a library. That doesn't mean I don't own books (though I certainly check them out). I am also working on a Master's in Library and Information Science. I have my BA in history and continue to read in that subject area among other things.
