I am currently working as a researcher for an author who is trying to gather the most reliable information on future scenarios as they are affected by climate change. I'm focusing in particular on these areas: climate change (perhaps the broadest and to some extent affecting all the others); the availability of clean water for drinking, hygiene, and agriculture; food supplies; disease and pestilence, which are tied in with lack of water, increased weather temperatures, and food scarcity; and habitat destruction.

I earn my living in the broadest sense dealing with information: finding it, verifying it, designing its presentation, and sharing it with others through photography, writing, social media and documentary film. Particular job titles I've had have been: information architect, fact-checker, researcher, writer, editor, user experience strategist.

I live in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago where I am active in community projects. I do raised-bed gardening, composting, and rain barrel collection, and I'm in the process of becoming certified as a permaculturist. I have more books than I can read in a lifetime or two, and as I get older I am gradually de-archiving.
