A propos de ma bibliothèque
I become attached to books like they're my pets. If I love a book I can't bear to part with it. I cry when it gets hurt or lost.
A propos de moi
I'm an avid reader. Among my fondest memories are of my older sister reading to me summer afternoons. We didn't have a television, so reading was one of our main entertainments. I enjoy reading history, travel and sea adventures.

I'm in the process of writing my own memoirs in short story form for my son and grandson.

I enjoy books written by the following authors: Mika Waltari, Paul Theroux, Jack Kerouac, Isaac B. Singer, Amy Tan and American authors of the early 20th century.

For humor I enjoy reading Patrick Dennis, Dave Barry, Sam Levenson, and PJ O'Rourke.

One of the most charming books I've read in the last few years is The Life of Pi by Yann Martel. I thought it would be silly, but I could not put the book down once I started reading it. It is a delightful book that is well written and good reading for a person of any age.

I am currently reading Two Years Before the Mast by Richard Henry Dana.
