I read mostly fiction, and almost any genre except horror. I used to read a lot of mysteries but in the last several years have started to read more fantasy and some science fiction. I read based mostly on my mood. If I'm in a serious mood I'll read literary fiction. If I'm a bit depressed, I'll read fantasy or lighter fiction.

I live in Berkeley, CA. I'm a late middle aged woman. Hobbies are knitting, gardening, and reading. I try to read a lot of women authors who I think are not taken seriously by mainstream reviewers and the academic community. That said, one of my favorite authors is Kurt Vonnegut.
