My name is J.J. Anderson and I reside in the mountains of Arizona, a resident of the state since I was twelve years old. Drawn to Prescott for its hometown charm and values, perfect for raising a family, I lived there many years until our daughters graduated high school and my husband and I moved further up into the mountains. I chose Prescott, the town of my heart, as the backdrop for my debut novel, “I’VE COME HOME.” Author of the screenplay; “Fugitive Child,” and several teleplays, I opted for a career path keeping me grounded closer to family and home; leading me to channel my creativity through the town and the state I love.
A concert pianist as a child,I performed on television 39 times, won the National Piano Guild competition and was invited to play at the White House for President Nixon (showing my age here!)by the time I'd moved to Arizona at age 12. I am also a painter, woodcarver, seamstress and haunted house construction foreman; some of my projects range from paintings, picket fences to fireplace mantels and Halloween fright fests, monster style!
