These days, I'm focusing on reading more intelligent and thought-proving YA lit that may not be the most popular or trendy. While I do love a good dystopian sci-fi or historical romance, I believe that there are also many important and possibly overlooked books that should be brought to teens' attention. I hope that advocating for these thoughtful and interesting books will both encourage young people to read books that challenge them or make them think, and encourage authors to keep it up!

A propos de moi

I'm the YA Librarian at a medium-sized and totally awesome public library in southern Massachusetts. Also studying Library & Information Science (MSLIS) & Children's Literature (MA) at Simmons College in Boston. Married, with a beloved gerbil and awesome vegetable garden to boot. I'm busy, but never too busy to talk to kids about books or to read until my eyes hurt. I love love love YA and middle-grade sci-fi, historical fiction and realistic fiction, but will really read anything with an awesome protagonist and/or a great cover. Let's talk books!
