A propos de ma bibliothèque
I have been reading since I was 5 years old. I had almost completed a catalog of my books when librarything came out with its' own, but it was so clearly superior that i didn't
complain for long. My favorite genres, in more or less this order, are science fiction/fantasy;mysteries;historical fiction(not bodice rippers);literature; costume-related books, biographies, history/political science; anthropology/linguistics; and popular science. That's a lot of topics, and a lot of books(g)I am pleased to find both a lot of my favorites from earlier times available, both in original editions and reprints, and also to find so many new authors who have something original to say.
I belong to many author and book-related yahoo and google groups, although even with my own new-to-me computer I find difficulty in keeping up with them.A lot of my favorite movies and TV shows are now available in DVD, but I don't have either the time or money to keep up with them.
A propos de moi
Many of my hobbies are book or media-related, including attending and volunteering at science fiction, mystery, and costume conventions. I had a stroke a few years ago, and made an almost complete recovery.(Now that I'm officially a senior citizen, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference)
I have a daughter and granddaughter, both of whom love books too.
