This books was fun. Action packed, silly, sassy, and romantic, all at once. There is a moment toward the end where the heroine is TSTL, but she can be forgiven for being preoccupied,

This is a lovely sweet romance with more than a touch of humor and a bit of a comedy of errors feel about it.

Violet is a school teacher and now that school is out, she's helping out at Bozeman's premier sex shop. Or rather, Bozeman's only sex shop. Goldi, the owner, is a great woman, but she's nosy and pushy. And she pushed Violet into writing a book. Not just any book, but a dirty book. One that Violet calls word porn. One day, at work, the phone rings and Violet picks it up. It turns out that it's a man named Mike on the other line. He's a friend of her twin sister's, but Mike was Violet's first everything. And then he left her. But now he's in a jam. He's in Alaska at a family reunion, and there is a crazy next door neighbor who thinks that they are soulmates, and he needs a girlfriend immediately, so he begs Violet to fly up so that she can be his pretend girlfriend.

Poor Violet and Mike, both individually and together. It seems like everything that happens is there to push them together and things tear them apart as they are pushed together. Then there is his eccentric uncle, the Crazy Neighbor who surprises Violet in the shower, Mike's mom who totally scares Violet, an ugly ring, and a wandering garden gnome. These things are all wonderful and ridiculous, and they seem like they would make a story that is just too out there, but they really don't. It all works together quite well, and if any one of those things were left out, this story wouldn't work as well.

It's not all sweetness, light, and laughs, there are a few sad moments, but overall, it's a beautiful and sweet love story.

Another really funny book by Ms. Vale! Such a departure from her menage books but equally as good. Where the others are hot and steamy, these are hot and funny! Really enjoying this series!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I thought this was a really cute book. I liked how the gnomes were brought into the story. The mystery aspect was solid, and the romance was great.
